Breaking News: Spain Eases COVID-19 Entry Restrictions for EU/Schengen Visitors

Immediate Action

As of June 2022, individuals entering Spain from EU or Schengen Zone countries are no longer required to present a valid COVID-19 certificate upon arrival.

Additional Information

The decision, made to facilitate travel within the region, comes amidst a significant increase in COVID-19 cases in the Balearic Islands over the past several weeks. However, health officials indicate that the surge may be subsiding, with a gradual decline in new infections.

The easing of restrictions applies to all EU and Schengen Zone nationals, as well as their family members and residents of Andorra, Monaco, San Marino, and the Vatican. Individuals from these areas will no longer need to provide proof of vaccination, recovery, or a negative test result to enter Spain.
