Thorpe To Be Called Up for MLB Debut
White Sox to call up highly anticipated right-handed pitching prospect
Former Cal Poly star set to make his MLB debut
The Chicago White Sox have announced that they plan to call up one of their top pitching prospects, right-hander Drew Thorpe, for his MLB debut. Thorpe, who was drafted 61st overall out of Cal Poly, is considered to be the White Sox's most advanced mound prospect and is expected to be a welcome addition to the team's rotation. The 25-year-old Thorpe has been impressive in the minors this season, posting a 3.50 ERA with 95 strikeouts in 90 innings pitched. He is expected to make his MLB debut on Saturday against the Detroit Tigers.
